What is IPTV ?

 

IPTV (or internet protocol television) is an alternative to satellite or cable television that enables you to watch television through the internet. 

 

IPTV gives users access to a whole host of live channels as well as on-demand content in higher quality (4K / UHD / HD).

 

With IPTV, you can also choose to watch content not only on a TV, but also on a tablet or mobile phone. 

What do I need for IPTV ?

 

You need to have 4 things is place in order to watch IPTV :-

 

1.  You must have a good internet connection.  Fibre is preferred, with a suggested minimum download speed of 50 Mbps recommended for higher definition streams like 4K or UHD.

 

2.  Secondly you will need some kind of device to watch your content on.  We recommend an Android IPTV TV Box with 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM or higher specification. However, you may also be able to utilise your TV, mobile phone or tablet to stream IPTV content.  As a last resort, a Firestick may be able to be used, but care has to be given to avoid updates which render the firestick basically useless for this function.  The Box Man can assist in supplying the correct device to suit your needs and budget.

 

3.  If you want to watch Live TV and have access to services such as EPG, Catchup, or Movies & Series on demand, you will require a subscription which facilitates this.  Giants IPTV are a supplier of services which will allow this.
